ICMATE has expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), to quantify the potential impacts on the environment and human health of all relevant emissions and consumed resources of human activities. Through LCA, researchers analyze the whole life chain of a material or device, from the extraction of resources, production, use, up to the disposal of the remaining waste.
ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING & REMEDIATION
ICMATE investigates the environmental impact of several materials that can release pollutants or undergo degradation due to environment conditions. In this regard, it is important to extend materials life-time and to inhibit and reduce the formation of potentially harmful by-products.
