BIOGRAPHY

Andrea Vittadini received his “laurea” degree in Chemistry cum laude from the University of Padua in 1983. In 1985 he joined the CNR in the Padua laboratories as a research fellow. In 1988 he obtained the position of research scientist (ricercatore) in the same laboratories. In 1998 he was appointed CNR senior research scientist (primo ricercatore). Since 2020 he is a CNR research director (dirigente di ricerca). He was visiting scientist at EPFL in Lausanne (1991, 1994) and at Princeton University (2000, 2011). Since 2000 he has served as a Board member of various CNR Institutes. Since 1995, he is an adjoint professor (professore a contratto) at the University of Padua. He received his habilitation (abilitazione scientifica nazionale per la qualifica di professore di prima fascia) in 2013.  Since 2019, he is a member of the Editorial Board member of Coatings (MDPI). He serves as a reviewer for a number of Journals (ACS, APS, Elsevier, MDPI) and as an evaluator for the Italian Ministry of the University and Research (MUR). He has given several invited lectures international conferences and has co-authored more than 150 research papers in international peer-reviewed journals, with over 8000 citations, H-index 37 (Web of Science).
