BIOGRAPHY

Graduated in Physics at the Università degli Studi di Bari, she received her PhD in co-tutele in Energy at University of Orleans (France) and Politecnico of Milano, cum laude. Since 2001 she is researcher at ICMATE-CNR in Milan and head of the Laboratory of Advanced Diagnostics in innovative Material, Energy and Environment.

She was involved in several scientific CNR-CNRS cooperation program. She awarded a short-term mobility CNR grant, and the “INGENIO” Mobility Training founded By Regione Lombardia to perform research activities on carbonaceous particulate measurements by applying optical diagnostic techniques at ICARE-CNRS labs in Orleans. Subsequently, she was Visiting Scientist in the CNRS Laboratoire d’Aerothermique of Orleans. She was responsible of a short-term mobility program to host prof P. Diwakar in our laboratory to perform research activities on LIBS measurements.

She was involved and worked as responsible in several International and National Research Projects.

Currently, she is member of the Scientific Board of International Workshop on Laser-induced incandescence technique. She is member of the Topical Advisory Panel in Materials, open access journal in MDPI, Senior Editor of Measurements: Energy , open access journal of Elsevier.

She is reviewer of several international journals, external reviewer of ERC Starting Grant.

In ICMATE Milano unit, she is responsible of Laser security in the laboratories.

She is also supervisor of numerous Master degrees and PhD theses.
