BIOGRAPHY

Naida El Habra is researcher at ICMATE-CNR of Padua (Italy) since 2015. She graduated in 2000 in Chemistry (110/110 cum laude) at the University of Padova. She obtained the Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences in 2005 (University of Padova, Italy). In 2001, after the degree in Chemistry, she worked as research fellow at the Department of Physics and Astronomy “G. Galilei” of the University of Padua.
She has been research fellow since 2005 at the Department of Chemical Sciences – University of Padua and at the CNR of Padua, initially at ICIS-CNR, then at IENI-CNR and finally at ICMATE-CNR as a fixed-term researcher. She obtained the position of permanent researcher at ICMATE in 2018. In ICMATE she is both responsible of SEM-EDX apparatus and head of the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) Laboratory.
Her current research activity concerns surface functionalization through chemical methods. Specifically, she is focused on the deposition and characterization of functional inorganic nanostructured thin films grown by using chemical vapor-phase processes (such as MOCVD, ALD, PECVD) for protective, photocatalytic, photovoltaic, biomedical, self-cleaning, and advanced manufacturing applications. She is also involved in technology transfer activity of CVD processes.
She has experience on chemical, structural, morphological, and functional characterization of materials. She works on national and international scientific research projects. She is co-supervisor of degree theses for Padua and Venice University and tutor for student internships.
