BIOGRAPHY

He graduated in 2015 in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis titled “Heat treatable aluminum based metal matrix nanocomposites and, since 2016, has bee working at CNR ICMATE as research assistant and researcher (since 2022). In 2023 he obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, presenting a thesis titled “Insight into novel age-hardenable CoCuFeMnNi-based high-entropy alloys”.
His research interests lie in the study of metallurgical aspects related to the development of novel metallic alloys and to the effect of advanced processing methods on the behaviour and characteristics of the alloys themselves.
In recent years he has been involved in various research areas, including the study of physical metallurgy aspects of aluminium alloys produced by laser powder bed fusion (optimization of heat treatments dedicated to the particular microstructural characteristics of the alloys and characterization of the resulting mechanical behaviour), the production through additive manufacturing and characterization of titanium alloy components intended for biomedical applications. Furthermore, he was involved in the development of bioresorbable implantable alloys, also in the context of an industrial collaboration, and in the study of precipitation-strengthened high-entropy alloys.
