He worked as researcher at National Research Council of Italy from 2009, then since 2018 he is currently working as senior researcher.
His main research topics include mainly laser material processing (welding, drilling, cutting, surface modification, thermal treatments and additive manufacturing) of several advanced materials, such as shape memory alloys as well as biodegradable metals and titanium and aluminum alloys.
He is also involved in research activities regarding melting preparation, plastic deformation processes and corresponding microstructural and mechanical/functional testing.
He is member of AITEM (Associazione Italiana delle Tecnologie Manufatturiere – Italian Association of Manufacturing) and present as member of the scientific board of Applicazioni Laser journal.
He is also member of of the Technical Committee of Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing of AIM (Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia).
He is responsible some national and international research projects, mainly focused on Additive Manufacturing and Laser Material Processing.
He is dedicated inn training as teacher on industrial/academic courses organized by AIM, AITEM, as well as classrooms in Politecnico di Milano, and Istituto Tecnico Superiore (ITS).
