Gender Equality
The Institute ensures equitable gender representation in working groups, committees, scientific and management bodies, tasks and research responsibilities to guarantee equal opportunities to all employees.
ICMATE, in accordance with the European Strategy for Gender Equality 2020-2025 and the National Equality Strategy 2021 – 2026 considers gender equality a cross-cutting issue in research and third mission activities.
In particular, the Institute organizes workshops, laboratory activities, and communication events dedicated to staff, schools, and citizens to raise awareness toward the issue of gender stereotypes, with particular reference to science, to promote scientific careers, and to bring to light women’s work in science. To carry out this activity, ICMATE collaborates with national and international associations and institutions, and with the CNR Gender equality Team (GET).
