BIOGRAPHY
Scientific background in chemistry, chemical-physical materials, physical metallurgy, and metallurgical technologies (melting and solidification, plastic deformations, powder metallurgy, 3D printing and additive manufacturing, heat treatments, and surface finishing).
He works in the field of materials science aimed at the design of innovative functional alloys, in particular shape memory (SMA) and superelastic NiTi alloys, biodegradable Fe, Mg, Zn based alloys, complex alloys based on Ti and Zr, medical alloys (316L, CoCr, Ti6V4Al), metal hydrides, metallic amorphous glasses.
He got knowledge and use of numerous techniques of material characterization: chemical analysis (ICP, XRF, AAS, CS), microstructural (OM, SEM, EBSD, TEM, XRD), mechanical (tensile, compression, torsion, bending, fatigue, hardness, nanoindentation), thermal (DSC, dilatometry and dilatometry with quenching), surface (Auger, XPS, BET, gas-surface interaction), and optical (UV-Vis, FTIR). Fatigue and fracture of metallic materials and biomedical devices.
