BIOGRAPHY

I received my master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and recently completed a PhD in materials science and nanotechnology at the University of Milan-Bicocca. My doctoral thesis, which was part of the “SURFICE” project of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Innovative Training Program (ITN), aimed to develop innovative solutions against ice accumulation.

Since July 2024, I have been working as a research fellow at the ICMATE institute of the CNR at the Lecco campus. Here I am involved in the study of shape-memory alloys for anti-icing applications as part of the PRIN 2022 “SMARTICE” project.

I am an expert in the physics of interfaces, in particular the study of wettability and icephobicity of surfaces, both experimentally and numerically. In addition, through my previous experiences, I have developed expertise in the areas of thermodynamics, renewable energy systems, process engineering, and project management.
