BIOGRAPHY

He graduated in Physics from the University of Padua in 1994 and obtained a Ph.D. in Physics in 1998 from the University of Padua. From 1995 to 2000, he conducted research activities at ICMATE-CNR as a scholarship holder and doctoral student in III-V semiconductor epitaxial heterostructures, specializing in high-resolution X-ray diffraction. During 2000-2001, he was a post-doc at LPN-CNRS laboratory (France), working on magnetic nanostructures and nano-imprint lithography. Since 2002, he has been a researcher at ICMATE in Padua. He collaborated on numerous research projects, conducting activities in multiple fields ranging from the characterization of thin films (protective coatings, piezoelectric films, III-V magnetic semiconductors) using X-ray diffraction and Rutherford back-scattering to the study of environmental pollution through X-ray fluorescence measurements. He collaborated with the University of Padua and Veneto Nanotech S.c.r.l. research center on soft lithography for applications in microfluidics and plasmonic devices. As part of a European project (InnoWEE), he was involved in CAD/CAM prototyping of panels for construction and their realization using geopolymers synthesis, recovering construction and demolition waste. He is a co-author of more than 87 articles in international journals and numerous conference presentations.
