ICMATE Padova (HQ)
A strategic partner for hydrogen systems and sustainable innovation. Padova combines advanced expertise in environmental monitoring (gamma spectrometry), photocatalysis for pollutant degradation, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). It operates world-class tribology facilities for friction and wear evaluation under real operating conditions, supporting the design of durable components for energy recovery and thermal storage (PCMs).
ICMATE Milano
Focusing on the integration of metallurgy, microstructure engineering, and fluid dynamics. The Milano unit specializes in the study and modelling of metal alloys under mechanical/thermal loads and the development of diagnostics for complex industrial reactions. These laboratories provide SMEs with comprehensive services for failure-mechanism identification and the co-development of innovative metallic solutions for aerospace and energy systems.
ICMATE Genova
Expertise in the physical chemistry of interfaces and the synthesis of advanced powders and ceramics. Genova engineers oxide-based composites and functional materials essential for catalysis, sensor technologies, and high-performance coatings. One of the few Italian centers specialized in the secondary metallurgy of advanced metallic materials.
