BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Muhammad Isram is a researcher at ICMATE-CNR, Italy, with a PhD in Physics and Nanoscience from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

His research focuses on thermoelectric materials, energy recovery systems, and low-dimensional materials for advanced energy applications. He has several years of combined academic and industrial experience, with a strong background in material synthesis (CVD, PVD, EBL, hydrothermal methods), nanofabrication, and structural and transport characterizations (XRD, SEM, Raman, Thermoelectric).

RESEARCH AREAS

RESEARCH ACTIVITY

Research focuses on high-performance thermoelectric materials, including half-Heusler compounds and 2D systems. Expertise in scalable synthesis routes (ball milling, sintering, CVD), device fabrication, and characterization. Work spans thermal/electrical transport, energy harvesting devices, and nanostructuring to optimize figure of merit (ZT). Contributes to interdisciplinary collaboration across materials physics, nanotechnology, and applied energy systems.
