BIOGRAPHY

Since 2001 she has a permanent researcher position at the Institute of Condensed Matter Chemistry and Technologies for Energy. She obtained the Master’s Degree in Chemistry in 1997, and the PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2000, both at the University of Milan. After a thesis period devoted to the study of catalytic systems and microcrystalline celluloses (MCC), from 2002 to 2011, she incorporated into Dr. Zotti’s group, in the headquarters of ICMATE in Padova, and she devoted to the study of conjugated molecular systems for electronic and renewable energies applications. In this period, she carried out CNR Short Term Mobility (STM) programs to perform research activities in foreign institutions, like the Minnesota University (USA) in 2005, and the University of Malaga (ES) in 2007 and 2008.
In 2011, to acquire her scientific autonomy, she moved from Dr. Zotti’s group in Padova to the ICMATE unit of Milan where she founded ex-novo the Laboratory of Electrochemistry and Nanomaterials. She is currently the scientific responsible for its research activities.
From 2011 to 2016 she was a contract professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca and currently, she is a co-supervisor of the students of Bachelor and Master thesis of the same University.
Since 2014, as a technical scientific expert, she is performing an intense review activity of project proposals of Italian national strategic relevance for the Ministry of Industry and Made in Italy, which enabled her to know the Italian industries and research organizations, like Universities and CNR Institutes, by verifying their technical scientific maturity and the real development needs. She performed similar activities for the Spanish Agencia Estatal de Investigacion (2020) and Regione Campania (2024).
She is a Guest Editor of thematic Special Issues of the MDPI journals Nanomaterials and Coatings, she was a member of the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Nanosciences and the Universal Journal of Electrochemistry, and currently, she is a member of the reviewer board of the journal Molecules. For ICMATE she was a member of the organizing committee of the ICMATE conference 2023
