At the 11th Joint EuroSOI-ULIS Conference held in Warsaw from May 14–16, 2025, Dr. Monica Favaro (CNR-ICMATE) contributed to the round table on Gender Equality and Inclusion, sharing insights on advancing inclusivity in the field of nanoelectronics and STEM.

Her talk highlighted the persistent gender disparities in research careers and presented the strategies and actions undertaken by the Italian National Research Council (CNR) to foster a more equitable and inclusive scientific environment. Drawing on her experience in research policy and institutional change, Dr. Favaro emphasized the importance of structural initiatives, inclusive leadership, and community engagement in promoting diversity.

Addressing an audience of over 100 students, researchers, and professionals from academia and industry, her contribution added a critical social dimension to a conference traditionally focused on cutting-edge developments in SOI technology and nanoscale devices.
