BIOGRAPHY

In 2009, I graduated in Chemical Science (M.Sc.) from the University of Ferrara with a final mark of 110/110, defending a thesis in the field of electrochemistry titled “Electrode devices for industrial electrolysis reactions stable under polarization reversal conditions.” Following this, I gained experience as a Research & Development Specialist at the Spin-Off Verdenora from 2010 to 2011. Subsequently, I joined IENI-CNR (now ICMATE) as a temporary research fellow, where my focus was on preparing and characterizing electrocatalysts for various applications, including the electrochemical abatement of common pollutants, hydrogen production, and energy storage. In 2022, I formally became a permanent researcher at ICMATE.

Throughout my career, I have been involved in numerous national and international research projects related to energy storage and conversion, as well as corrosion monitoring and prevention. My primary research activities revolve around the electrosynthesis of materials (metals, alloys, oxides) with several morphologies and compositions. The performance of these materials was tested, performing their characterization, in various fields such as environmental abatement, energy storage and conversion, catalysis, and electrocatalysis processes.
