Since 2004, she has worked as a researcher at CNR-ICMATE, Lecco Unit, where she is leader of the research line “Development of materials and devices for the advanced manufacturing”. Her research activities are firstly focused on shape memory alloys. Within this topic she is specialized in the development of sensors and actuators for engineering applications, particularly for the aerospace and biomedical fields. She is also involved in the technological transfer and often collaborates with private companies in developing new smart devices. Since 2012 she has also been involved in additive manufacturing with specialization in fused deposition modelling and selective laser melting processes. She collaborates with research centers (universities, INAF, CIRA) and she is co-supervisor of PhD and degree theses.
