BIOGRAPHY

Visentin Francesca received her degree in Science and Technology of Material (110/110 cum laude) in 2008 at the University of Venice and her Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering (curriculum: Material Engineering) in 2020, at the University of Padova. Since 2008, she has been working at the ICMATE-CNR of Padova, first as a research fellow and then, since 2020, as a permanent researcher.

She works on the deposition and characterization of nanostructured inorganic thin films, by using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) techniques, on different substrates and for diverse applications.

She works on national and international scientific projects and many technology transfer activities.

She is co-supervisor of degree theses for Padua University and a tutor for student internships.

In ICMATE, she is internally responsible for the activity of recovery and disposal of special waste and waste from electrical and electronic equipment, hazardous and non-hazardous.

RESEARCH ACTIVITY

Her activity includes the study of:

Deposition of nanostructured inorganic thin film via chemical vapor deposition techniques (Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition – MOCVD, Atomic Layer Deposition – ALD, Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition – PECVD), working at atmospheric or low pressure (Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition – APCVD, and Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition – LPCVD), on different substrates (plastics, metals, glass, semiconductors, etc.) for photovoltaic, photocatalytic, protective, biomedical, and self-cleaning applications.
Structural, morphological, chemical, optical, and functional characterization of the deposited materials.
Preparation of bioactive ceramics by spray-pyrolysis technique for biomedical applications. Evaluation of the in-vitro bioactivity.
Preparation of nano/micro-structured polymeric pattern and their functionalization.
Activities of technology transfer of the R&D projects with the industrial partners.

ATTIVITA’ LAVORATIVA E CAMPI DI RICERCA

Si occupa di preparazione di film sottili inorganici mediante tecniche di deposizione da fase vapore (Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition, MOCVD, e Atomic Layer Deposition, ALD), anche operanti a pressione atmosferica, con applicazioni protettive, fotocatalitiche, fotovoltaiche e autopulenti; preparazione di materiali ceramici bioattivi mediante tecniche di deposizione di spray pirolisi; preparazione di pattern polimerici nano/micro strutturate e relativa funzionalizzazione.
