Participation of ICMATE at the Final Conference of MINDtheGEPs
After four years of commitment and collaboration, the final conference of the MINDtheGEPs project marked an important milestone in promoting gender equality in research and innovation. Since 2021, MINDtheGEPs has worked to increase women's participation in research, support career advancement, improve gender balance in decision-making, and integrate gender perspectives into research content.
Monica Favaro (
CNR-ICMATE) took part in the conference as one of eight professionals selected from across Italy, each with diverse educational backgrounds and roles. Throughout the project, she participated in two project-level workshops and three tailored sessions for the National Research Council (
CNR), receiving specific training in gender equality strategies.
Today, Monica is an active member of the CNR Gender Equality Team, where she contributes to the implementation of institutional gender policies and shares her experience with international partners, helping to advance gender equality in STEM fields across Europe.
