Application oriented research activities are on going at ICMATE to succed in the design and fabrication of highly performant innovative materials, as well as components supporting technologies and processes for a plethora highly demanding applications, such as energy production, under a circular economic mindset. In particular, ICMATE scientists aim at the development of advanced materials and their characterization from the chemical-physical, microstructural and functional points of view, in a wide range of interest involving all the physical states of matter, from liquid to solid, from powders to dispersion or solutions. In view of specific applications, ceramic, polymeric and metallic materials are processed, also through cutting-edge techniques, evaluating their features, functionality and sustainability.
